Since moving to Boston, The Arnold Arboretum is still one of my all-time favorite finds in the city! I’ve spent countless hours running, hiking, and walking with friends through the acres of these forests. Every time I come, I make a new discovery which is honestly shocking, considering I’ve tried to explore every inch of the place. My favorite hidden gems include a babbling brook with a few wooden bridges to cross, and a long-lost house foundation off in the hills. I took the reference photo for this painting on one of those walks by myself, processing the chaos of life and finding peace in watching the sunlight fall through the trees.
